Lead Category Sourcing Manager, Professional Services (Hybrid) Location: New Britain, CT Reporting to the Director of Indirect Procurement, the role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies for professional services, driving category engagement models, and delivering annual business objectives. Responsibilities Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for professional services subcategories. Lead and manage cross‑functional sourcing projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring alignment and timely delivery. Drive annual productivity improvements in applicable spend categories. Handle supplier selection, contracting and negotiation. Track performance against goals and business metrics. Monitor strategy implementation and contract compliance. Drive best practices across categories and business partners. Lead cross‑functional teams to develop category strategies. Drive value through supplier relationship management. Lead or co‑lead business reviews with key providers. Advance category strategy based on market trends. Effectively influence, communicate, and lead at all levels within the company. Qualifications 5 to 10 years of strategic sourcing experience in indirect categories, including professional services. Bachelor’s degree required. Balanced strategic and operational capability, including global sourcing, stakeholder and supplier management, and cross‑functional partnering. Experience with advanced sourcing techniques and tools. Global mindset and experience working in an international/multi‑cultural matrix environment. Ability to develop and execute complex sourcing strategies. Strong negotiating skills with comfort in complex agreements and contracts. Financial and general business acumen. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels. Capability to build sustainable business partnerships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Influencing without direct authority. Comfortable driving through conflict and ambiguity.
