Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Floor TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the pharmacy workflow. Responsibilities + Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist. + Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them as per procedure. + Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them as needed during low volume times. + Manually package materials and products. + Pull and pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas. + Apply labels to blister cards and then scan products for accuracy checks. + Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that is not scanning properly. + Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed. + Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. + Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required and/or expected. + Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + High School diploma or equivalent. + Ability to work at a moderate speed. + Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. + Possess and maintain a clear and active KS Pharmacy Technician License issued by the KS Board of Pharmacy. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred. Work Environment The position requires availability from Monday through Friday with two shifts: Shift 1 from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM and Shift 2 from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. There is a flexible requirement for the third shift, with every third weekend on rotation. The role involves physical demands such as sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently during the day, with extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity is required to operate office equipment. Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds may be necessary. Visual acuity is needed to see and read fine prints, and the ability to hear normal voice sounds is required. The work environment is representative of conditions encountered while performing essential functions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
