Assistant/Associate Professor – Accounting North Carolina Central University, Durham, NC Full‑time, 9‑month tenure‑track position in the Department of Accounting. About the University North Carolina Central University is a Historically Black University dedicated to preparing students for the global marketplace. The School of Business offers AACSB‑accredited undergraduate and graduate programs. Job Purpose Teach undergraduate accounting courses, develop curriculum, maintain an active research program, and contribute to service and community engagement. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, including online instruction when required. Design and update curricula in line with AACSB standards. Publish peer‑reviewed research and participate in scholarship. Engage in departmental, university, and community service activities. Support assessment and assurance of learning efforts. Qualifications Earned or ABD PhD in Business with a major in Accounting from an AACSB‑accredited institution; ABD candidates may be considered for instructor level. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness; experience with accounting systems/data analytics and tax is preferred. Experience with SAP is a plus. Track record or potential for scholarly publications. Professional certification(s) and experience are an advantage. Must complete PhD requirements by August 1, 2026 if ABD.
