JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Employee Productivity Services, the IT Services Portfolio & Asset Supervisor leads a team responsible for managing the organization’s technology assets and supporting IT service portfolio operations. The IT Services Portfolio & Asset Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of IT services and technology assets across the organization. This role ensures alignment between service delivery, asset management, and business priorities by driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and governance. This position supervises the day-to-day operations of IT asset management while supporting the strategic management of the IT service portfolio, including service catalog governance, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) integrity, and lifecycle planning. The role acts as a key liaison between IT, Finance, Operations, and Security to ensure technology investments are optimized, compliant, and scalable. The Supervisor collaborates with cross-functional leaders, including Employee Productivity Services (EPS), Operations, and Information Security, to align asset and service management practices with organizational goals. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Service Portfolio & Asset Management

• Oversee the IT service portfolio and full lifecycle of technology assets (procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal), ensuring accurate tracking, standardization, and alignment with business needs. Operations & Team Leadership:
• Supervise daily operations and staff responsible for asset and service management, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to build a high-performing team; serve as a resource to the team for any questions and to review final work deliverables
• Establish and optimize workflows, ensure timely fulfillment, and drive accountability, operational excellence, and team performance.
• Provide direction in support of the strategic objectives, for the technology inventory team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technology strategies.
• Monitor individual employee performance, providing feedback as necessary.

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and asset data to identify trends, develop actionable recommendations, and drive service improvements and informed decision-making
• Develop and present performance reports and dashboards to leadership, highlighting trends, risks, recommendations, and/or opportunities for operational improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in inventory management and asset optimization.

Financial & Vendor Coordination:

• Support budgeting, forecasting, chargeback, and cost optimization efforts by monitoring expenditures, analyzing financial trends and ensuring alignment with operational priorities.
• Coordinate asset lifecycle planning and management, vendor relationships, and chargeback reporting to ensure operational efficiency and effective stewardship across cost centers. Process, Systems & Automation:  
• Improve IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and CMDB accuracy by implementing standardized practices, strengthening governance, validating data, and driving continual process improvement.
• Support system integrations and implement automation to enhance efficiency and data quality Compliance & Governance:  
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and applicable regulatory requirements through effective governance and oversight.
• Conduct audits and compliance reviews to identify risks, validate adherence to established controls, and recommend corrective actions .

Cross-Functional Collaboration:  

• Work with IT, HR, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to support onboarding, device strategy, and service delivery aligned with organizational priorities.
• Work with organizational stakeholders to ensure that inventory practices support business objectives and help drive operational efficiency.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT operations, asset management, or service management
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., Fresh service)
• Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, CMDB, and chargeback model practices
• Experience with Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Intune, Azure AD, Microsoft 365)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Technical Skills:
• Experience with asset tracking and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for technology assets (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, FERPA) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Proficient with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to analyze inventory data and generate reports
• General IT knowledge, including an understanding of technology systems, components, and lifecycle management

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, technology teams, and cross-functional departments.
• Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Moderate Noise (examples: typical office noise)

• Computer Screen visual in performance of role
• Lift up to 10 pounds
• Travel up to 10-20%
• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting), provide a clear TB test.
• Reliable transportation is required to meet the needs of the position.
• While driving is not a regular requirement of this role, employees who operate a personal or company vehicle for work purposes must maintain a valid driver's license and current auto insurance on file with HR.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:  

• Inventory Management Software: Proficient in using technology inventory management tools and software.
• Data Analysis: Experience with data analysis tools and techniques to interpret inventory metrics.
• General IT Knowledge: Understanding technology systems, components, and lifecycle management.

 

COMPENSATION: $73,000.00

This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
