Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of adult experience for a 13-week day shift contract covering all adult services including ER, RRT, Code Blue, floors, and ICU.

Job Details

• Adult acute care hospital setting covering ER, RRT, Code Blue, general floors, and ICU,
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM,
• One weekend shift required per month,
• No on-call requirements,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an adult RRT,
• Active CA RRT license required (license required if applicable),
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and NRP,
• Prior travel experience preferred,
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures across all adult service lines,
• Provides assessment, treatment, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities, implementing care plans based on diagnosis and physician orders,
• Builds rapport and cooperation with patients, families, and the broader care team through effective communication and competent clinical practice,
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates,
• Former employees or travelers must have been away from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved per contract
