What You'll Do

As a registered nurse, you'll play an essential role in guiding patients safely through their surgical experiencefrom pre-operative preparation through recovery and discharge.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical findings
• Obtain and monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures
• Identify and communicate changes in patient condition
• Develop and update individualized nursing care plans
• Provide pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-anesthesia patient care
• Monitor recovery and evaluate patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Supervise support staff while promoting safe clinical practices
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education

Qualifications

• Active registered nurse (rn) license required
• Associate degree in nursing (adn) or higher required
• Current bls certification required
• Minimum one (1) year of operating room (or) and/or post-anesthesia care unit (pacu) experience required
• Bachelor of science in nursing (bsn) preferred
• Cpan certification preferred
