Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical/Telemetry - Nights

Location: Lufkin, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $44.00/hour

Schedule: Night Shift | 5:45 PM-6:15 AM (Schedule varies)

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to support a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit in Lufkin, TX. This opportunity is ideal for a flexible and clinically skilled RN with experience caring for Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Wound Care patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.

   

• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and respond appropriately.

   

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols.

   

• Provide wound care and monitor patients for complications.

   

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

   

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record.

   

• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.

   

• Float to other appropriate units as required.

   

• Provide patient and family education and support throughout the care process.

   

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.

   

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

   

• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience .

   

• Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required.

   

• Wound Care experience required.

   

• Experience with MEDHOST EMR preferred/required.

   

• Ability to work independently and adapt to a changing clinical environment.

   

• Must be willing to float as required .

   

• No call required.
