Production Associate - 1st and 2nd shift

The Assembler builds and inspects parts according to drawings, work instructions, and quality standards, ensuring both accuracy and production goals are consistently met. This role uses a variety of measuring tools and gauges to verify part precision, completes required documentation, and supports a smooth production flow by rotating through different departmental tasks and assisting new team members.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to drawings, specification sheets, and work instructions while meeting established quality and quantity objectives.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions to determine assembly requirements.
• Position and align parts in the specified relationship to each other to ensure proper fit and function.
• Use measurement tools, gauges, and calipers to verify part accuracy, precision, and adherence to quality standards.
• Perform quality checks on parts within the assigned process and follow established quality control procedures.
• Complete necessary production and quality paperwork online or on the line as needed.
• Assist new employees with learning how to operate equipment and tools, and with understanding specification sheets, drawings, and quality plans.
• Rotate through all departmental jobs within the assembler job classification to support production needs.
• Attend required training sessions to maintain and improve skills, safety awareness, and quality knowledge.
• Adhere to all quality and safety systems and contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of quality and safety standards.
• Perform special projects and additional tasks as assigned to support production and operational goals.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6+ months experience reading work instructions or blueprints.
• Minimum of 6+ months experience in an assembly role in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and write English to understand work orders, instructions, and documentation.
• Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per day while performing assembly tasks.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specification sheets.
• Proficiency using measurement tools such as gauges and calipers to verify part accuracy and precision.
• Comfort using common hand tools and mechanical tools in an assembly setting.
• Attention to detail and strong focus on quality control and accuracy.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and quality standards consistently.

Work Environment

The role is based in a modern, well-maintained production facility that is described as one of the nicest environments in which to work. Workstations are peaceful and organized, with very good lighting to support detailed assembly and quality inspection tasks. Because the products involve power strips and electrical components, the facility is climate and humidity controlled to protect both employees and equipment and to ensure product reliability. The typical team size is approximately 60 people per shift, fostering a collaborative yet calm atmosphere. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with first shift running from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The dress code requires steel-toe footwear, jeans, safety glasses, and ear protection, reflecting a strong commitment to safety in the production environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Lincoln,NE.
