Job Description:
- Leading the assembly technicians and manufacturing engineers directly (currently 4 technicians, working with our supply chain manager), and growing the manufacturing operations team
- Owning build execution on the builds already in progress: sequencing around part availability, setting daily floor priorities and escalating when a build stalls
- Cutting build labor from the current 70 80 hours per unit through process and cycle-time improvements, fixturing and tooling across high-mix, high-complexity assembly
- Running new product introduction (NPI): taking new hardware platforms from engineering release through pilot builds into producible builds, and giving design specific, actionable manufacturability feedback
- Owning work instructions, build documentation and manufacturing systems (PLM/BOM), and keeping them accurate and under revision control as designs change
