Marketing Coordinator - TempJAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of Marketing Coordinator - Temp for our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for portfolio management, product development, integrated marketing strategy, advertising/promotional recommendations, global line plan development, and profitability for both internal IP and external licensed brands.Responsibilities include:Assisting the Sr. Brand Manager and SVP, with positioning, strategy, and execution of product linesOverseeing day to day marketing responsibilities on several product lines, including:writing product copy for packaging, presentations, and websitepreparing PowerPoint presentations for internal sales purposes, retail meetings, and licensor meetingscompiling and analyzing sales dataset up and organization of product detailsorganizing and leading meetingshelping prepare strategies on product linescompetitive research and routine store checksCollaborating across departments to complete tasks, including:sample coordination for important meetings and photoshootsensuring products are on time, on cost, and on brandworking with operations team to ensure product details are accurate and meet retailer requirementstoy fair and meeting preparationTake ownership of brands by managing line lists, giving direction to design and development teams, communicating product changes, helping licensor approvals run smoothly, and ensuring product is on track through production.Updating product sales tools including price list, brand decks, and product presentations on a regular basisAssistance with expenses and team suppliesConduct trend research and store checks to maintain competitiveness with other toy brandsSkills & Experience required:Work effectively within a team environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workloadAbility to work well under pressureHighly organized and able to multitaskExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Photoshop, etc.Have a positive, "can do" attitudeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in the toy industry or working in an industry that markets to retailers, such as Target and Wal-Mart is a plusStrong organizational skills, self-starter, and correspondence skills.Our Benefits:Health and Wellness: Medical, dental, vision, disability, life & accident insurance, and employee assistance programSavings: 401K matching, pre-tax spending accounts, and employee discount programsCompensation: JAKKS Pacific offers a competitive compensation for this role commensurate with experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $30.00/hr to $34.00/hr.Company OverviewA leading designer and marketer of children's toys and consumer products, JAKKS Pacific® is always on the lookout for talented, bright, and creative individuals to join our ever-growing team.Best known for our toy and entertainment products, JAKKS produces impressive and innovative products across multiple categories spanning from action figures, collectibles, and dolls, to high performance activity toys and vehicles, and let's not forget our deep portfolios of beloved licensed characters.
