Commissioning Manager

A leading contractor with a rapidly growing mission critical division is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities on a large-scale mission critical/data center project in Texas. This individual will work closely with project management, trade partners, clients, and third-party commissioning agents to ensure all building systems are tested, validated, and delivered in accordance with project requirements and schedule. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all commissioning activities from pre-functional testing through final turnover Coordinate commissioning schedules with construction teams, subcontractors, equipment vendors, and client representatives Review commissioning plans, procedures, test scripts, and project documentation for completeness and accuracy Oversee functional performance testing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems Track commissioning progress, identify deficiencies, and ensure timely resolution of issues Support quality control efforts to verify systems are installed and operating in accordance with design intent Maintain commissioning logs, turnover documentation, and closeout deliverables Participate in owner meetings, inspections, and system demonstrations throughout the project lifecycle Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence on site . Qualifications: Minimu m 5 years of commissioning experien ce in construction Previous experience commissionin g mission critical, hyperscale, or data center faciliti es strongly preferred Strong understanding of MEP systems, controls, integrated systems testing, and startup procedures Experience coordinating with owners, design teams, commissioning agents, and subcontractors Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and commissioning documentation. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Willingness to work on‑site in Texas for the duration of the project. #J-18808-Ljbffr
