Job Description

The Visual Inspector performs detailed visual inspections of products and components to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications. This role focuses on identifying defects or inconsistencies, accurately documenting findings, and supporting production and quality teams to maintain consistent throughput in a stable manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough visual inspections of products, components, and loads to identify defects, inconsistencies, or damage.
• Verify product quality against established standards, specifications, and inspection criteria.
• Identify and accurately document defects, discrepancies, and inspection results in production and inspection records.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date production and inspection documentation as required.
• Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and staging of inspected materials for shipping and receiving activities.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by inspecting parts and loads prior to movement or dispatch.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines during inspection and handling of materials.
• Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to maintain throughput and meet production goals.
• Perform repetitive inspection tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and consistency.
• Use basic computer or data entry tools to enter inspection data and maintain records, as needed.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in manufacturing, inspection, or warehouse environments preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and damage during visual inspection.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Basic computer and data entry skills to record inspection results and maintain documentation.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned Monday–Friday shift schedule.
• Comfort working in a steel manufacturing environment with standard safety practices.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Interest in quality control and manufacturing, with a desire to grow within a stable production environment.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including inspecting loads and parts, is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production and quality teams.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to established quality standards and inspection processes.

Work Environment

The role is based in a steel manufacturing environment with a production-focused setting. You will spend the majority of the day seated, with some standing as needed for inspections and material handling. The standard work schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Closed-toe shoes are required, and safety glasses and ear plugs are provided when necessary. The environment involves routine exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, with established safety guidelines and procedures in place.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moscow, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.07 - $16.07/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
