This role ensures proposed solutions are technically sound, scalable, compliant, and aligned with both customer requirements and SG product and delivery capabilities.The Solutions Architect partners closely with Sales, Sales Enablement Managers, Sales Engineers, Demonstration & Technical Enablement, Product, and Engineering to de-risk deals and enable confident customer commitments. This role does not own delivery but plays a critical role in defining what is sold and how it will work.Job Duties / Key AccountabilitiesSolution Design & Architecture:Lead solution architecture for complex sales opportunitiesTranslate customer business and technical requirements into scalable solution designsDefine system architectures, integrations, data flows, and dependenciesEnsure solutions align with SG product roadmaps and technical standardsTechnical Validation & Risk Management:Identify technical, scalability, security, and delivery risks early in the sales cycleDefine mitigation strategies and alternative architecturesValidate assumptions used in pricing, proposals, and delivery estimatesSupport POCs, pilots, and validations as technical authoritySales & Deal Support:Partner with Sales Enablement Managers to support disciplined deal executionSupport Sales Enablement Managers with deep technical guidance and architectural directionParticipating in customer technical workshops and executive briefingsProvide technical input to RFP responses, proposals, and statements of workCross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with Product Management to confirm product fit and roadmap alignmentEngage Engineering to validate feasibility, effort, and delivery considerationsEnsure clean handoff from sales to delivery with documented architecturesProvide structured feedback from the field to Product and EngineeringQualificationsRequired:5+ years of experience in solution architecture, sales engineering, or systems designProven experience designing complex, multi-system solutionsStrong understanding of enterprise software architectures and integrationsAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiencesExperience working in regulated or compliance-driven environmentsStrong documentation and diagramming skillsDesired:Experience in lottery, gaming, or highly regulated industriesExperience supporting RFP-driven or pursuit-based sales motionsFamiliarity with cloud, data platforms, APIs, and security frameworksPrior experience working closely with engineering delivery teamsSG is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against applicants due to race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
