Diamond Vogel has a full-time opening for a Financial Accounting Manager in Orange City, Iowa. Diamond Vogel has continued to focus on growth and expansion as it crosses the threshold of its second century of delivering quality coating solutions distinctively; we are looking for someone who would love to engage in our progress and the changes that come with it! The right candidate for this position will be responsible for supervising and managing the accounting department and all areas of financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accounting principles, best practices, and systems for collecting, analyzing and reporting financial information
- Lead and supervise financial reporting department employees; maintain and oversee all accounting procedures and processes
- Become competent and fluent in our ERP Financial reporting systems
- Document and interpret complicated financial information for managers and executives
- Advise on procedures and financial management, develop financial control policies
- Oversee financial reporting for taxes, regulatory agencies, owners, and other financial groups; oversee Sales Tax and Payroll tax compliance and reporting
- Oversee financial audits and perform corrective actions related to audit findings
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Board Certified CPA or desire to obtain CPA in the next two years
- Proficiency with Accounting software
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, auditing, cost control, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strict attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage employees while multitasking large projects
