Job Summary:
Oncology Clinic Nurse in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This outpatient oncology position involves caring for patients with various cancer types, anemia, and rheumatoid arthritis within a dedicated outpatient infusion center. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts weekly, with flexibility to transition to three 12-hour shifts. Shifts are from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; willingness to wait for licensing; BLS (American Heart Association), Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) / Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) certifications; minimum experience of 2 years.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, infusion experience, familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ONS/ONCC; Certification in chemotherapy/biotherapy preferred but not required.
• Clinical Focus: Outpatient oncology care, including administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and patient monitoring.
• Floats: Floating may be required depending on infusion experience and chemotherapy familiarity, with orientation tailored to infusion medication and monitoring procedures.
• Holidays & Weekends: No scheduled weekend or major holiday work.
• Other Information: The unit features a 21-chair outpatient infusion center treating patients with cancer and related conditions, with nurse staffing ratios of 1:4. Up-to-date emergency protocols and charting in EPIC are essential.
