Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Mission Support Facilities Division (MSF). Located in Washington D.C. or Ashburn VA. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Duties This position starts at a salary of $102,415.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $133,142.00 (GS-12, Step 10). GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. This position is with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Mission Support Facilities (MSF) Division. Mission Support Facilities Division provides the facilities and associated infrastructure, facilities management, and sustainment to support CBP mission support office operations. As stewards of a large national portfolio of General Services Administration-owned and CBP-owned infrastructure, MSF carefully balances resources to ensure the right facilities are planned and delivered at the right time to meet mission requirements. Managing the work of maintenance, repair, and operations functions with a variety of vendors and service providers across various trades or technical disciplines. Using the TRIRIGA integrated workplace management system for facility planning to include work requests, tasks, requirements, opportunities, and funding. Monitoring contractor schedules, tracking work completion, and reviewing and approving invoices to ensure that contractors are meeting their obligations and that CBP is receiving the expected value for its investment. Developing plans and specifications for facilities repairs or alterations, determining the most desirable application of repair or construction principles with current aspects of cost priorities, contract schedules, and support requirements. For local chapter contact information see Chapter Websites - National Treasury Employees Union - NTEU Qualifications Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Conducting facility operations, special projects, and/or utilization improvement studies. Assessing facility needs and developing detailed project plans to address those needs. Analyzing, facilitating, reporting, and recommending process improvements. Assisting with developing plans and specifications for facility repairs or alterations, determining the most desirable application of repair or construction principles with current aspects of cost priorities, contract schedules, and support requirements.
