About the Role
The Company is seeking a founding Executive Director for its Center for Democracy and Free Enterprise. This role is pivotal in shaping the center as a national platform for leadership development, entrepreneurial capacity, and expanded participation in capital and ownership systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a multi-year strategy that aligns with the company's mission, building a scalable model that integrates leadership development, entrepreneurship, and market access, and establishing the center as a national exemplar of applied, nontraditional academic programming. Key responsibilities include program design and execution, building strategic partnerships, leading fundraising efforts, and ensuring the center's visibility and influence on a national scale. Applicants must have 10-15+ years of leadership experience in areas such as entrepreneurship, finance, corporate leadership, or public-private partnerships, and a proven track record in building organizations and initiatives. The role requires exceptional communication, external-facing leadership skills, and a strong understanding of how capital, markets, and institutions function. The Executive Director will also be tasked with recruiting and leading a high-performing team, managing the center's budget and operations, and establishing efficient processes and strong governance practices. The position demands a builder with a solutions-oriented mindset, capable of translating the company's vision into an operational, financially sustainable, and nationally recognized model that connects talent with enterprise, capital, and opportunities in institutional leadership.
