Presales Engineer

Pre-Sales Engineer | Identity Governance & Agentic AI Security | Remote (US) Our client is a fast-growing cybersecurity company building Agentic AI-powered Identity Governance solutions. They're on a mission to help enterprises secure the next generation of identity and access risk, combining deep security expertise with applied AI to solve problems traditional identity governance tools can't keep up with. They're now hiring a Pre-Sales Engineer to act as the technical backbone of the sales cycle, partnering closely with Account Executives to win net-new business and demonstrate real value to technical and executive buyers alike. What you’ll be doing: Partner with Enterprise AEs throughout the sales cycle, acting as the primary technical voice in discovery, demos, POCs, and technical evaluations Translate complex identity governance and AI-driven security capabilities into clear, compelling business value for both technical stakeholders and C-suite buyers Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements that directly address prospect pain points Respond to RFIs/RFPs and lead technical validation processes to help close enterprise deals Build trusted relationships with security architects, CISOs, and IT leadership throughout the buying journey Stay current on the evolving identity governance, AI security, and threat landscape to maintain credibility with technical buyers Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer success to relay market feedback and ensure smooth customer handoff post-sale What they’re looking for: 5+ years of pre-sales/sales engineering experience specifically within cybersecurity Proven experience as a pre-sales engineer at a cybersecurity start-up - genuine early-stage, fast-paced environment experience is essential A track record of career stability - this role is not suited to frequent job changes; the client is looking for someone who has stayed, built, and delivered results over sustained periods Strong technical credibility across identity, security architecture, or related domains, with the ability to speak fluently to both engines and executives Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Comfortable operating remotely with a high degree of autonomy and ownership Location & Logistics: This is a fully remote role, open to candidates anywhere in the US. Given the distributed nature of the team: Candidates based in the Eastern US must be able to work core hours aligned to Pacific Time Candidates based in the Western US must be able to work core hours aligned to Eastern Time Compensation: Up to $285,000 OTE , commensurate with experience + Equity #J-18808-Ljbffr
