General Production Worker

This role supports a high-volume manufacturing operation in the Eastern Indianapolis region by performing a variety of physically demanding production tasks. You will load and unload materials, assist with finishing processes, inspect products, and ensure accurate documentation in a fast-paced, heat-intensive environment.

Responsibilities

• Manually load and unload products to and from production machines on a repetitive basis.
• Push and pull boxes of product weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Visually inspect finished products to verify quality and identify defects or irregularities.
• Operate shot blasting equipment as needed to finish products according to specifications.
• Weigh products accurately and package them in line with customer requirements and specifications.
• Document materials, batch numbers, and related production information accurately and legibly.
• Maintain consistent productivity while working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Remain on your feet for 8 to 12 hours at a time and perform continuous manual labor.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working around heat, machinery, and industrial equipment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform general labor and physically demanding production work.
• Capability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
• Comfort working in a very hot, dirty, and oily industrial environment.
• Ability to remain on your feet for 8 to 12 hours at a time.
• Experience working in a fast-paced production or general labor setting.
• Demonstrated stability in work history with 1+ year per job.
• Attention to detail for visual inspection and accurate documentation.
• Willingness to perform repetitive manual tasks and follow standard operating procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in general production, heat treat, or similar industrial environments.
• Familiarity with manual material handling, including loading machines and lifting boxes.
• Experience using basic production equipment such as shot blasting machines.
• Ability to adapt to changing production demands and priorities.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in attendance and performance.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a fast-paced production facility that is very hot, dirty, and oily, typical of heavy industrial operations. You will work around heat-treat and other industrial processes and must be comfortable with exposure to high temperatures and industrial noise. The role requires standing and moving for 8 to 12 hours per shift, performing continuous manual labor, lifting and moving boxes up to 50 pounds, and loading machines repeatedly. You will use equipment such as production machines and shot blasting equipment while following established safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear as provided by the facility.

This is a permanent position based out of Greenfield, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
