Work Environment

As an onsite physical therapist in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, you will find yourself in a dynamic work environment with a focus on collaboration and patient engagement. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, assessing their physical condition and developing personalized treatment protocols based on their specific needs and health conditions.
• Implement treatment plans based on the evaluation results, which may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records of treatment outcomes, goals, and modifications to the care plan as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and rehabilitation staff, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Engage with patients and their families to educate them about their conditions and promote a cooperative approach to health and wellness.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding patient care and facility protocols.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system. This role requires the ability to adapt your treatment approach to a diverse patient population, ranging from athletes seeking to regain peak performance to older adults striving to maintain mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current physical therapy license in Florida; eligibility for license in other states is a plus.
• CPR certification.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, particularly in orthopedic settings.
• Familiarity with the latest rehabilitation technologies and methodologies.
• Experience in developing patient education materials and promoting health awareness.

Compensation and Benefits
