Description Your Responsibilities

• Conduct both routine and specialized clinical laboratory testsincluding chemistry, hematology, immunology, and morewhile adhering to established standards and protocols.
• Evaluate test results thoroughly for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist with specimen collection and meticulously prepare samples for testing as required.
• Keep comprehensive documentation of all procedures, partake in training new staff or students, and help uphold the laboratory's commitment to quality assurance.
• Prioritize cleanliness and safety in your work environment while following all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree, along with ASCP or AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Continuous maintenance of current certification throughout your employment is required.
