Senior Trade Analyst - Customs Brokerage

The Senior Trade Analyst will be responsible for executing daily trade compliance activities related to Regeneron import/export, new product classification, licensing/permits, shipping operations support and overall program activities. This is a highly interactive role that requires excellent soft skills and the ability to maneuver through complex Pharmaceutical classification procedures routinely. As a Senior Trade Analyst, a typical day might include the following: Primary support and point of contact for all tactical trade compliance related functions. Work daily with Regeneron’s Customs Brokers for Regeneron Trade Compliance. Act as business liaison for Customs (CBP), FDA, and USDA including issue resolutions. Review, validate, and confirm US harmonized tariff system (HTS) and export commodity control classifications (ECCN) for all formulated drug substance products and raw materials as necessary. This includes but is not limited to collaboration within the organization, brokerage and vendors/partners. Ensure trade compliance best practices are executed. Advise business of trade regulatory changes, updates and keep business current on trade practices. Manage and update Export and Import Trade Compliance Manuals. Assist business with export or import permits. This includes conducting classification research to verify needs for licensing/permits, as well as completing the actual applications. Create Trade Compliance related SOPs as needed. Provide professional customer service at all times. This role interacts daily with multiple internal/external customers and requires strong soft skills. Providing periodic training on Trade Compliance to the business. Approximately 5% travel required. This role may be for you if you have: Knowledge of Export, Import procedures, permit applications etc. ideally within the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to handle Customs and entry related issues and escalate when required. Ability to manage relationships with Customs Brokers and cross‑functional teams. Current knowledge of trade compliance best practices. Licensed Customs Broker (preferable). In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and meet the following experience requirements: Analyst: 2+ years of experience. Senior Analyst: 5+ years of experience. May consider equivalent combination of education and experience. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role. Customs brokerage experience or trade compliance practices with exporter/importer, in chemical and/or FDA regulated industry.
