PEDS ED RNThis position is for a Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The nurse will be responsible for providing emergency care to patients up to 25 years of age. The department is a Level I trauma center with high volume and activity. Last year saw over 116,000 pediatric visits, with an average of over 400 during winter months. The nurse must be available to work variable shifts throughout the day, including early morning and late evening. No requests for time off will be accommodated, but the manager will attempt to give one holiday off when possible. The role will involve running codes and utilizing ED techs assigned to each nurse. Nurses will perform triage duties and care for patients with a range of medical conditions. Required skills include the ability to manage acute cases, administer medications, and monitor patients effectively.
