Benefits Competitive salary Flexible schedule Training & development We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient mental health clinic. The PMHNP will provide high-quality psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and collaborative care for a diverse client population across the lifespan (or specify population). This role requires strong clinical judgment, patient-centered communication, and a commitment to reducing stigma and expanding access to mental health care within the community. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments Diagnose mental health and behavioral health conditions Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and care teams Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications Provide medication education and supportive counseling Order and interpret labs or diagnostic tests as appropriate Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary Collaboration & Coordination Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical providers Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations Coordinate referrals and continuity of care Communicate effectively with clients, families, and external providers Compliance & Quality Adhere to clinic policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality Support quality improvement initiatives and outcome tracking Participate in staff meetings and clinical supervision as required Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted Florida APRN license Board Certification as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) DEA registration and eligibility to prescribe controlled substances Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program Current BLS certification (if applicable) Experience with outpatient psychiatric care preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience working in community mental health or integrated care Familiarity with diverse populations and trauma-informed approaches Comfort with Telehealth platforms and EMR systems Bilingual abilities preferred but not required Core Competencies Clinical decision-making and diagnostic accuracy Cultural humility and inclusivity Strong communication and rapport-building Ethical integrity and professionalism Organizational and time management skills Team collaboration Physical & Work Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Use of computer and EMR systems Ability to manage emotionally complex clinical situations What We Offer Competitive compensation structure Flexible scheduling Administrative and clinical support Collaborative team culture Professional development opportunities Mission-driven, community-centered work environment Flexible work from home options available. #J-18808-Ljbffr
