Department: 35815 AMC Kenosha - Med Surg: IU 5th Floor Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Three 12-hour night shifts varying between Monday-Friday from 1900-0730 Weekend and holiday rotation required. Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Where You Will Work: Aurora Medical Center Kenosha’s MS5 unit is a 16-bed medical/surgical unit located on the first floor, specializing in oncology care with a focus on inpatient chemotherapy needs. The unit maintains an average daily census of 15.8 patients and an average length of stay of four days. MS5 operates under a triad leadership model consisting of a Patient Care Manager, Unit Supervisor, and Nursing Professional Development Practitioner, while the charge nurse carries a reduced patient load to support clinical needs and daily operations. Nurse‑to‑patient ratios typically average 1 RN for every 5 patients and 1 Nursing Assistant for every 8 patients. Team members must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire, and RNs are required to complete telemetry training within 30 days of orientation and earn a Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration Certificate within one year of hire. MS5 regularly hosts clinical rotations and welcomes new graduate nurses, prioritizing high reliability practices, open communication, and a culture of learning. We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association What You’ll Do: As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
