Skills & Experience Desired:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience working with students exhibiting mild to moderate behavioral challenges
• Background in self-contained classroom settings highly preferred
• Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
• Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans to individual learning needs
• Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, support staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to middle school students in a self-contained setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
• Employ behavior management strategies that encourage positive student outcomes
• Track and document student progress, keeping accurate educational records
