You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader.ResponsibilitiesAssure all project-related work plans and project-specific documents necessary for performing project QC activities are onsiteReview subcontractor quality plans for compliance to requirementsInspect work conformance to contract and design documentsUnderstand drawings and specificationsImplement the Three Phase Control SystemDevelop daily quality control reports, prepare and issue detailed meeting minutes, and assist with post construction reportsUse Submittal Register to track and assure required materials are approved in a timely manner.Manage in-depth technical reviews of submittals against design documentsProactively initiate deficiencies and non-conformances documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actionsStop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality or non-compliance with design documentsVerify materials received are same as those identified in approved submittals and complete material receipt inspection checklistsCoordinate, witness, and document 3rd Party testing, special inspections, and commissioning of building systemsDocument all tests and resultsCoordinate and document completion inspection processManage a timely project closeout to include compilation and turnover of all required documentsCoaches and mentors less experienced team membersSupports a positive and inclusive work environmentCollaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the "Builder of Choice".QualificationsExperience/EducationBS or MS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management, or CMAA Certification7+ years of DoD construction experience, including firm-fixed price design-build construction; 5 years as QC Manager. Large project experience ($50M to $100M) very helpful.DoD design-build experience preferredUSACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors training certification required (or have the ability to quickly attain this)Strong Microsoft Word and Excel userCMAA Certification preferredOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong verbal and written skillsAbility to work in a team environmentSkilled using Microsoft Word and Excel; USACE QCS a plusGilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
