Chief Financial Officer

The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide leadership and hands-on management for the organization’s day-to-day financial operations and office administration systems. Reporting to the President, the CFO will drive continuous improvement across core financial functions and support efficient, performance-oriented operations. The role will collaborate with senior leadership and clearly communicate financial information to the board and key external partners. The CFO will lead the Finance Unit, with responsibility for budgeting, financial management and reporting, and accounting. In addition, the CFO will manage the Administration Team to help ensure a smoothly running office environment. This position requires a strategic, process-minded leader who can manage teams, cultivate a performance-driven culture, develop efficient systems, and support organizational productivity while working to grow revenue. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with advanced education (such as an MBA, CPA, or other advanced degree) and progressive financial leadership experience, including senior management experience in nonprofits or government-funded organizations. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in long-term financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling, along with strong audit oversight, management and communication skills, and experience implementing financial systems. Proficiency with relevant contract budgeting, billing, compliance, and audit preparation is preferred; the role also requires the ability to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
