Job Description Job Description Loan Processor – Job Description Location: Downey, CA (On-site) Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Mortgage Lending / Real Estate About the Role We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our growing mortgage team. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and experienced in guiding borrowers through the loan fulfillment process with accuracy and exceptional service. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth and timely closing for our clients. Key Responsibilities Review mortgage loan applications for completeness and accuracy Collect, verify, and analyze borrower documentation including income, assets, credit, appraisal, and title Submit files to underwriting and work closely with the underwriter to clear conditions Maintain open communication with borrowers, loan officers, real estate agents, and third-party vendors Order and track required services (VOEs, VODs, appraisals, title, insurance, fraud checks) Identify potential red flags and ensure files meet all agency and lender guidelines (FHA, VA, Conventional, DSCR, Non-QM, etc.) Manage and maintain pipeline to ensure files close on or before contract deadlines Prepare files for final approval and coordinate with escrow for closing packages Deliver a high-level customer experience through consistent updates and professional communication Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience as a mortgage loan processor (preferred) Strong knowledge of AUS systems (DU/LP) and mortgage guidelines Understanding of income calculation (W-2, self-employed, bank statements, P&L, etc.) Excellent communication and customer-service skills Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize a fast-moving pipeline Experience working with mortgage LOS systems (Encompass, LendingPad, Calyx, etc.) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment What We Offer Competitive compensation (salary + performance incentives) A dynamic, supportive team environment Opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding mortgage and real estate organization Training, professional development, and leadership opportunities Modern office environment in Downey, CA with strong company culture About Us We are a high-performance mortgage team dedicated to helping families and investors achieve homeownership and financial freedom.
