Shift Details: Shift 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, Shifts Per Week 5, Scheduled Hours 40. Job Order Details: Start Date 07/01/2026, End Date 09/30/2026, Duration 13 Weeks.

Job Description: RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Structural heart scrub experience a must. Do not screen if they do not have it. The expected start date is based on Novant’s schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start. Novant will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.

Required Skills / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years’ Experience Required, Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Traveler, Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes. Skills: Scrub, Monitor, PA Lines and Telemetry, Structural Heart & TAVR Experience. Cath Lab Procedure Experience: Balloon Angioplasty, PCI, Stents, Thrombectomy, Impella insertion, Left & Right Heart Catheterization, Rotablader. Certs: ACLS, BLS, must have at least one: RCIS OR ARRT.

Preferred Skills / CERTS / EXP: Skills: Circulate, IV Start, Conscious Sedation. Cath Lab Procedure Experience: Watchman Procedures, Septal Closure, Ablations, Coil Embolization, Filter Placement. EKG Settings & Experience: Rhythm Interpretation.

Target Ratios: 3 Rooms, Shift: 40 Hours. Will Accept 13 Weeks! 10 HR Days 4 x 10-Hour Days, 07:00 - 17:30; Monday-Friday. Call Requirement: With Callback and Weekend Call Required; 9-11 days in a 6-week schedule with 1-2 weekends depending on rotation. Float Requirement: Floating could be required but would be rare (if traveler ever had to float, it would be to EP, but that rarely happens. Unit has a pt holding area inside of the Cath lab traveler may have to go to on occasion. But it is part of the Cath lab.) Weekend Requirement: With Callback and Weekend Call Required.

Special Procedures / Unit Details: Some of the more complex procedures that we perform in the lab: Complex PCI’s. Unit Systems: EPIC, MAC Lab. Scheduling Type: 10 Hour Shifts, Monday - Friday. Submission Process: All units are utilizing Clinical for direct profile review. Submission Details: Former Novant/New Hanover employees (PERM/PRN/EP) must wait 12 months before applying. Disclosure required (with hospital name/dates employed) at submission; facility approval needed. Current travel Per Diem clinicians aren't eligible for travel contracts they must choose one. Include status and intent in the submission. Local candidates (50 miles): Lower rate applies. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays). Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. No RTO during first week. All RTO must be pre-approved. Cannot request additional RTO after signing. NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal. Floating: Candidates must be open to floating within/near facility per job description. Travel pairs: Allowed (must be on different units and disclosed). Charting: See job description. References can be pending at submission. Modules: Pre-start modules are factored into the first 24 hrs of NBO Acute Care: ~8-10 hours of modules Non-Acute: ~4-5 hours of modules Must be completed pre-start and annually (varies by specialty) Conducted online - must use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your browser.
