VP of Construction — Mid size commercial GC.
Compensation: $250,000–$300,000 base, plus additional performance-based compensation (bonus/incentive structure commensurate with experience) Location: Glendora, CA (on-site/hybrid leadership role)
About the Opportunity
I've been retained by the President who is seeking an experienced VP of Construction to lead field operations, drive strategic growth, and strengthen relationships across their contractor and builder client base.
This is a high-impact executive role for a construction leader who has a proven track record of scaling revenue within a general contracting organization and is ready to bring that growth mindset to a company positioned for its next stage of expansion.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across all construction-related functions, including project execution, field operations, and client delivery
- Own and drive top-line revenue growth, building on a demonstrated history of scaling revenue at a general contracting organization
- Develop and execute strategies to expand market share, deepen relationships with general contractors, and identify new business opportunities
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing construction and project management teams
- Partner with executive leadership on long-term growth planning, budgeting, and P&L accountability
- Oversee project quality, safety standards, scheduling, and cost control across the portfolio
- Represent the company in key client, vendor, and industry relationships
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior construction leadership role (VP, GM, or similar), with a track record of growing revenue at a general contractor
- Strong understanding of GC operations, client relationships, and business development within the construction industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage large-scale operations, and drive measurable financial results
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Strategic mindset paired with hands-on operational execution
- Based in or willing to work from the Glendora, CA area
