A valued client of ours is looking for a Human Resources Director that provides strategic and tactical leadership for all core HR functions. This role serves as a key partner to executive leadership, fostering a high-performing, compliant, and employee-centric environment. The Director oversees HR operations, supervises professional staff, and manages programs that drive recruitment, retention, and performance across the organization.

Job Responsibilities for the Human Resources Director:

• Design and implement HR strategies that support our client's mission, values, and long-term business objectives.
• Advise leadership on organizational effectiveness, culture initiatives, and future talent needs.
• Lead the development of HR policies and communicate strategic priorities to all organizational stakeholders.
• Oversee hiring for scientific, technical, and administrative roles to maintain a robust workforce.
• Develop partnerships with academic institutions and professional networks to attract specialized talent.
• Serve as a resource for managers on conflict resolution and professional development.
• Conduct investigations and address employee concerns with a focus on fairness and discretion.
• Oversee Deltek Costpoint administration, reporting, and process optimization.
• Ensure adherence to employment laws and federal research program requirements.
• Manage the HR budget and maintain relationships with external service providers and vendors.

Qualifications for the Human Resources Director:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in compensation, benefits, recruiting, and employee relations.
• Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint is preferred but not mandatory.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Exceptional judgment, confidentiality, and communication skills suitable for a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must be a US citizen.

Compensation for Human Resources Director:

$120,000 - $160,000 Annually (DOE)
