Description The Journeyman Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of complex building systems. This position requires a highly skilled and versatile professional with deep expertise in automated building controls and the ability to perform a broad range of technical, mechanical, and trade-related tasks. Key Responsibilities: A Journeyman Engineer must possess a high degree of knowledge of automated building control systems and may also perform a wide variety of work requiring high skill levels and abilities, including but not limited to: Electricity Electronics Sheet metal work Welding Mechanics Machine shop work Hydraulics Plumbing Painting Ventilation work Carpentry Plastering Concrete and masonry work Ceiling installation Floor installation Motors Providence Swedish caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Required qualifications: Coursework/Training: Must have successfully completed extensive specialized training courses or Demonstrated ability and experience may be accepted in lieu of education Upon hire: National Boiler Operator Grade I License - State County City Trade License Authority or National Boiler Operator Grade II License - State County City Trade License Authority or National Boiler Operator Grade III License - State County City Trade License Authority 4 years of building control systems inspection, testing, repair and maintenance in a hospital environment Preferred qualifications: Associate's Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Systems, Building Control Technology, HVAC, or similar field Why Join Providence?
