The technician will accurately perform and report laboratory tests within established guidelines. Job responsibilities include working in technical departments of clinical laboratories. Levels of autonomy for testing and reporting results are based on education, previous work experience, and demonstration of competency. Each technician's autonomy will be defined individually. Candidates should be prepared to fulfill the responsibilities of the role, including testing procedures and result reporting. Regular shifts will involve working nights, including every third weekend. Compliance with certifications and health regulations is required. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units based on skill sets and census without any restrictions.
