Technical Recruiter

Russell Tobin's client is hiring a Technical Recruiter in San Diego, CA

Employment Type: Contract

Location: Onsite - San Diego, CA 92121

Pay rate: $40-$46/hr

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offer preparation, and onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Conduct candidate interviews and evaluate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
• Coordinate and complete employment reference and background checks.
• Prepare and extend employment offers and negotiate terms when appropriate.
• Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Process employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
• May provide guidance, training, and direction to recruiting team members and support staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve recruitment processes and workforce planning initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 5–8 years of recruiting for technical roles, talent acquisition, or related Human Resources experience.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, interviewing techniques, and employment practices.
• Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
