Entry Level Automation Engineer - Chicago

Salary: $83,000 - 95,000 per year Requirements:

• We are seeking an entry-level engineer with 0-3 years of experience.
• We require a bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• We are looking for a minimum GPA of 3.4.
• We need a strong foundation in mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles.
• We value an interest in and ability to program using text-based languages and object-oriented concepts.
• We want someone who learns quickly and is committed to continuous improvement.
• We require strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external clients.
• We require access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
• We require authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• For roles covered by ITAR, we require U.S. citizenship or national status, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status under applicable U.S. export regulations.

• We troubleshoot complex system designs, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• We develop programming and software solutions across a range of applications.
• We create controls programming for food and beverage processing, packaging, automotive assembly lines, and packaging machinery.
• We build automated test systems for industries and applications such as EV battery testing, aerospace and rocket testing, turnkey test systems, and cloud-enabled test and measurement systems.
• We collaborate with project teams of different sizes and experience levels.
• We support senior engineers with scoping, estimating, and preparing proposals for new projects.
• We manage tasks alongside project teams, helping prioritize needs and address risks and blockers.
• We communicate with clients, provide status updates, and maintain positive working relationships while responding to requests.
• We travel to customer manufacturing sites to commission solutions and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
