About the Position

Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 09:00 - 21:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 5+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care (available on-site), NIH, PALS or ENPC Must-Have: 5+ years of experience in Emergency Department Description: Backfill position available. Experience in Emergency Department is required. Candidates with both ICU and Emergency Department experience will be considered. The facility is a 250 bed Academic Community Hospital serving the region for more than 120 years. It is the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. Accredited by the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Surgeons. The facility offers comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency services, and home health and hospice agency services. There are advanced wound healing and cardiac rehabilitation centers. The facility includes 2 catheterization labs, a day surgery center, and medical and radiation oncology services. Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Local applicants and those residing 60 miles or greater may be considered. All travelers must have required certifications prior to start. Random drug screening will be conducted on-site. The area offers small town charm with nearby city offerings. There are 680 acres of parks and trails with picturesque views. The location highlights historical architecture, boutiques, art galleries, and museums. Unit Profile: Emergency Department features 31 beds and 2 triage rooms. 7 of the 31 beds are utilized for behavioral health or acute patients. Patient ratio is 1:4, but exceptions may occur during high-volume days or when immediate care is required. The electronic health record system is primarily MedHost and Meditech for certain patient categories. The team serves all age groups. The ideal candidate will be professional, positive, compassionate, and a team player. Dress code allows scrub color of the traveler's choice. This position is a contractor replacement.
