Job Duties: Patrol assigned area. Stop cars for violationsInvestigate loitering.Make arrests and issue citations.Respond to accidents, providing first aid and emergency services until paramedics arrive.Respond to dispatched calls.Conduct traffic, criminal and other investigations. Prepare detailed and well written reports.Testify in court in response to subpoenasShift: 12-hour rotating shiftsQualifications:At least 21 years oldCitizen of the United States or a permanent residentHave a minimum of a high school diploma or a high school equivalency recognized by the State of LouisianaMust have one of the followingat least one year of experience as a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified law enforcement officer in a full-time position, whose job duties included armed duty with the power of arrest; orLouisiana Law Enforcement POST Certification; or1 year of continuous active duty in the military; orBachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university; or80+ semester hours from a regionally accredited college or university in a Bachelor's Degree programCompensation and Benefits:$46,755 starting annual salary100% employer paid health, vision and life insurance for our employees.
