Function/Duties of Position We are hiring Advanced Dental Assistants! Our specialty clinics are located in the Robertson Life Sciences Building and, when needed, at the Russell Street Clinic. The Advanced Dental Assistant supports one or more specialty work units (clinic) within the School of Dentistry, performing advanced dental activities that require training and experience beyond that of a standard Dental Assistant. The position requires flexibility, willingness to adapt to new situations, and may involve limited travel to Russell Street Clinic. EFDA certification is highly encouraged. Required Qualifications Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program AND two years’ experience as a chair side Dental Assistant in an Advanced Specialty OR Three years’ experience as a chair side Dental Assistant in an Advanced Specialty Certification by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry for Radiological Proficiency (required for all positions) BLS from AHA required. New hires will be enrolled in an OHSU training course and must complete the course during onboarding.
