Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, through comprehensive assessments and intuitive interviews.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that consider the unique needs and preferences of each client, ensuring a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
• Implement evidence-based interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), regularly assessing their effectiveness and adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices integral to their recovery journey.
• Track and document client progress meticulously, adhering to legal and ethical standards of confidentiality.
• Establish partnerships with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and facilitate integrated support for clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development through case consultations, team meetings, and staying abreast of best practices in mood disorder treatment.
• Advocate for mental health awareness and reduce stigma within the community, ensuring that our clients' voices are heard and respected.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your work will be individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to those struggling with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will provide support to a diverse range of populations, including vulnerable groups such as the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic violence, all of whom often face unique challenges in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• Proficiency in building trust and rapport with clients through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstration of empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, enabling effective case management and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.
• Previous experience in a community health setting is advantageous, particularly with clients struggling with mood disorders.
• Knowledge of interdisciplinary collaboration practices among mental health and medical professionals.

• The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
