OTR Flatbed Company driver (W-2) Job in Columbia, MD by HMD Trucking

Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- 6 months of flatbed experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

- Home time: 2 weeks out, 2 nights home

- Load Pay
- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles (company drivers only)
- Extra Stops: $50 per additional stop
- Detention Pay: $25 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $175 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
As an OTR Solo CDL A Flatbed Driver with HMD Trucking, you'll navigate our advanced fleet—APUs, inverters, sleeper cabs, and removable rider seats—on coast-to-coast runs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, secure, and deliver flatbed freight efficiently
- Conduct thorough FMCSA-compliant pre- and post-trip inspections
- Coordinate with dispatch and maintain electronic logs
Receive $0.70/mile plus up to $0.10 CPM performance bonuses, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, predictable home time, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k).
