Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in managing acute psychiatric cases and be skilled in advanced cardiac life support. The RN will be responsible for providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring swift response to medical emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Management of patients with acute psychosis and behavioral issues.
• Administering BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator care.
• Performing blood product administration and central line management.
• Monitoring and administering emergency medications and IV sedatives.
• Conducting EKG/ECG tests and performing procedural sedation.
• Identifying and reporting patient neglect or abuse.
• Ensuring isolation precautions are adhered to for infection control.
• Engaging in triage and managing a patient load of 5 patients per shift.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related nursing role.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is mandatory.
• Compact license or current Pennsylvania license in hand.
