Job Title: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day rotating shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for. Active certifications in hand at the time of submission. One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required for submission. Description: Registered Nurse position in the Med/Surg Tele specialty. This position may require floating to various units to care for the same patient population. Shifts are rotating, with potential variations to meet operational needs. All schedule and shift details need to be accurate and confirmed. The traveler must work at least every other holiday. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required. Background checks will be reviewed. No travelers with license hits will be accepted. Nurses and CSTs are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements under temporary conditions. All other travelers must be nicotine-free with a negative drug screen. Candidates must not have returned to the facility for one year from their previous end date. Background checks and licensing checks are time-sensitive and must be completed promptly. Extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis with client approval. Travel candidates who remain on a continuous contract are required to meet annual competency requirements. Modules may require additional hours and will be recorded accordingly.
