120 bed skilled nursing facility providing physical, ocupational and speeach therapy as well as long term care services in a friendly, professional and home-like environment.

Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Food Services reports to the Director of Food Services and assists the Director in planning and supervising activities of the department to provide service to residents, employees and visitors. The individual also assists in providing technical guidance and administrative direction over food planning, menu formulation and serving of regular and therapeutic diets.

Responsibilities to include:

• Ensures good quality and the appropriate quanity of food is served in accordance with resident diet plans, company policy and federal and state requirements.
• Makes sure safety measures regarding employees and food are in place and being followed.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance, company standards, and systems are met consistently
• Assists with the planning and organizing of projects, system changes, and events.
• Participates with employee recruitment and retention to include conducting Interview, new hire orientation, staff training, scheduling and recogition of employees.
• Creating and modifying job flows for positions in the food service department.
• Performs related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Three or more years of experience in food service management, preferably Long-term Care setting.
• Must have positive interpersonal and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets
• Knowledge of regulatory and sanitation standards
• ServSafe Certified
