Join us to shape raw metal into production‑ready components. In this role, you’ll set up and run high‑speed equipment and handle abrasive finishing that ensures every part meets spec.

What You’ll Tackle

• Set up and operate large, high‑speed metal‑removal machinery to fabricate parts.
• Grind, sand, clean, and polish metallic surfaces using hand grinders and power tools.
• Prepare large castings and hard‑faced items using high‑RPM grinding wheels and belt sanders.
• Spot and mark porosity, cracks, and other defects; apply identifying marks to workpieces and equipment.
• Select abrasive wheels/belts and production equipment by material, size/shape, stock removal, finish, and sequence.
• Review blueprints/layouts; measure and mark reference points, cutting lines, and layout indicators.
• Adjust, start, and stop machinery; safely load/position parts with overhead cranes.
• Inspect against prints/specifications ; measure final dimensions; record product and processing data on designated forms.
• Keep machines and workspace clean; support cross‑training and other duties as assigned.

Bring These Strengths

• High school diploma or equivalent (2‑year technical degree preferred).
• 2–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with handheld grinding/polishing.
• Reliability, teamwork, professionalism, and strong safety awareness.
• Comfort working in warm, dusty shop conditions and meeting the role’s physical demands.
• Desire to learn and cross‑train on other machines.

Physical Demands + Schedule

• Shop environment with heat and dust inherent to metal finishing.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching; occasional sitting, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling.
• Manual dexterity for handling tools/equipment; talking/hearing as needed for safe operations.
• Vision: near, distance, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
• Overtime as workloads dictate, including potential weekdays and weekends.
