Surface Sanitation Technician

Location Birmingham - Corporate Headquarters Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; Must be flexible Job Type: Regular FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Amount of Travel Required: N/A Job Description Summary/objective The Surface Sanitation Technician position is a key member of the Quality Control Team responsible for the sanitation of all machinery in the plant. Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

• Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Sanitizes all machinery in the plant.
• Wrap all sensors, lights, and motors before cleaning different pieces of equipment.
• Required to clean up around equipment that has been sanitized.
• Required to clean out lift-station using a ladder once a week.
• Cleans machinery from start of line, depalletizer down to palletizer.
• Climbs machinery such as palletizers, depalletizers, and catwalks.

Food Safety: Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program (GMP) as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFE 21 section 110.Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes.Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety. · Perform other duties as assigned.
