Lawyer Personal Injury Litigation Associate

Job Description HEIDARI LAW GROUP, P.C. is one of the fastest‑growing and successful plaintiffs’ personal injury and employment law firms in California and Nevada, with principal offices in Los Angeles and Las Vegas and additional offices throughout both states. We are currently seeking two Personal Plaintiff Litigation Associates to add to our growing team. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates eager to take ownership of their own cases and who are not afraid of gaining trial experience. Unlike other firms, we take our cases from intake all the way through to trial, providing our employees and candidates perfect opportunities to gain extensive trial, litigation, and negotiation experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Two (2) to seven (7) years of civil litigation experience. Handle forty (40) to seventy (70) cases, depending on experience. Personal injury litigation and trial experience is a huge plus. Employment law experience is a plus, though not necessary. Strong familiarity with legal research, including Shepardizing and/or KeyCiting law for law and motion purposes. WestlawNext and/or LexisAdvance experience is a huge plus. Federal court litigation is not necessary, but welcome; we will teach you.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Represent clients in cases involving products liability, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and other personal injury matters. Take and defend depositions (including those of plaintiffs and experts, witnesses, etc.). Engage in law and motion work – research and draft motions and oppositions to various motion types, including but not limited to motions for summary judgment and demurrers, as well as discovery‑related motions. Prepare for trial, including motions in limine, special verdict forms, jury instructions, and other related tasks to support the firm in preparation for trial. Propound discovery and respond to discovery. Draft complaints ranging from basic motor vehicle accidents to complex premises and assault cases.

REQUIREMENTS

Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar. Nevada State Bar licensure is a plus, but not required. Attention to detail and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment, with a willingness to work in a team atmosphere. Strong time‑management skills, including prioritization of cases and adherence to deadlines, internal or those imposed by the court. Strong organizational, interpersonal communication, time‑management, and project‑management skills in handling the caseloads required of the position. Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment with other lawyers and paralegals. Fully proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat DC.
