This role offers a strong blend of accounting, finance, and operational analytics while working closely with cost managers and project managers across the organization.Overview Of The Finance Operations Manager Role:Oversee and mentor a team of General Ledger AccountantsExposure to product costingAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesPartner with operations, cost accounting, and project management teams to analyze financial performance and project profitabilityManage and review accounting related to: Direct and indirect taxCapital expenditures (CAPEX)Fixed assets and depreciationInvestments and financial analysisSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiativesEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal controlsAssist with process improvements and ERP optimization initiatives within SAPPrepare financial reporting and provide analytics to leadershipPreferred Qualifications For The Assistant Controller:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA preferredExperience within industrial manufacturing environments strongly preferredBlend of public accounting and private industry experience highly desiredExperience supervising or mentoring accounting staffSAP experience preferredStrong Excel and analytical skills
