CNC Machinist

Job Summary

JX Advanced Metals USA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Mesa, Arizona. In this role, you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling and turning machines to produce high-quality precision components. You will be responsible for ensuring parts meet engineering specifications, maintaining production efficiency, and supporting a safe and quality-focused manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines using approved programs, setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements before and during production.
• Adjust machine offsets, tooling, speeds, and feeds to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Monitor machining operations and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and work with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve concerns.
• Document production, inspection, and process data accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic equipment upkeep.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality requirements, ISO/IATF standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Technical certificate in machining or related field preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating CNC milling and/or turning equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 1st Shift and 2nd Shift opportunities available
• Overtime may be required based on production schedules and business needs

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
• Regularly handle parts, tooling, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Close visual acuity and the ability to adjust focus are required.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures.
