Business Unit Manager - Eurofins Built Environment Testing, Pasadena, TX

Eurofins seeks a Business Unit Manager for its Pasadena laboratory to oversee daily operations, manage personnel, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive profitability. The role demands 10+ years of supervisory experience and 10+ years in laboratory operations, with a track record of improving operational and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train all laboratory personnel; foster morale and teamwork
• Manage technical conduct, quality control, and record keeping of analytical evaluations
• Oversee laboratory budgeting, capital expenditure decisions, and cost control aligned with annual targets
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety, environmental programs, and regulatory requirements
• Represent laboratory in technical meetings and coordinate business activities with other facility locations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related field; or equivalent industry experience
• At least 10 years of supervisory experience
• 10+ years in laboratory operations with 5+ years leading large multi-department teams with P&L accountability ($5M+ net sales)
• Demonstrated success improving operational, profit, quality, and safety performance
• Knowledge of EPA, DOT, OSHA, and DOL regulations
• Budget management, policy development, negotiation, and decision-making abilities
• Fluent English proficiency; strong verbal and written communication skills
